Buhari Friends Organization Network, a new political structure recently put in place in Nigeria to mobilize support for the presidential ambition of retired Nigeria’s Military Dictator, General Mumamadu Buhari has called on the leadership and members of the All Progressive Congress [APC] to adopt him as the party’s flag bearer in the 2015 election.
Edo State Coordinator of the organization, Mr. Marvelous Imasuen, made this call in Benin City at their Secretariat while addressing media representatives on the plan for the formal inauguration and fund raising ceremony of the State Chapter scheduled for September 27, 2014.
According to Mr. Imasuen, the creation of this organization was informed by the ordinary Nigerian masses’ yearning to offer their supports and encouragement for the candidacy and successful election of retired Major- General Mohammadu Buhari as the next President of the country in 2015.
‘’This project is the result of popular demand by the majority of Nigerians who are fed up with the high level of corruption, indiscipline and impunity in governance and lack of rule of law in our body polity.’’
He said there was no basis for the fear being expressed in some quarters about the candidacy of the retired army general except for those who have skeletons in their cupboards.
‘’Those who are against Buhari are the few political elites who are highly corrupt. Their apprehension is that given the opportunity, General Buhari will deal with them and even get back their looted wealth and return it to the State.’’
