BENIN—THE Benin National Congress, BNC, has described as wicked, the actions of some professors at the University of Benin, UNIBEN, who complained about the absence of the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Osayuki Oshodin due to illness.
Meanwhile, a family source told Vanguard that the VC has recovered fully from the illness and will return to the country this week.
BNC called on security agents to invite and investigate those complaining about the absence of the Vice Chance-llor, who was allegedly poisoned before he was flown abroad for treatment.
BNC, in a petition by Chief Michael Imasogie, Secretary of its Board of Trustees addressed to the Minister of Education, Alhaji Ibrahim Shekarau, said: “This man is known to be very dedicated to his duties and that is why UNIBEN is transformed today.
“That a man is sick, not by any natural development, but substantially by a deviously-infused anti-body on account of which he was flown abroad and has substantially recovered, empathy demands that a set of staff who claimed that they love him should treat perceived absence misdemeanour with respect, passion and candour.”
